Hidden gem. Super authentic, tasty tteok (traditional Korean dessert rice cake) here. Very fresh and made in limited batches daily. Not all tteok is created equal - this shop's tteok is one of my favorites - would love it if they had more than one location. My mom and I love the purple rice tteok especially here. It has a fantastic, pillowy, soft, chewy consistency, plenty of gentle, sweet, nutty flavor, and plenty of mix-ins (beans and nuts). When I come I go around the building to the back door, and that seems standard. There's usually parking. There's not much of an inside, it functions more like a stall where you buy the goods to go.

Picked up the special rice cakes and some vegetable side dishes for Korean Thanksgiving on my way home. As per other reviews, can confirm that there's no need to look for "old rice cake shops owned/runned by grandma or senior-ladies in LA Koreatown" as this place is legit and serves one of the best tasting "traditional rice cakes" in SoCal. Was an extremely pleasant experience with lots of happy smiles offered as bonus (perhaps they read the other reviews?) and the food was absolutely yummy.
